Tai is excited to receive a warmly visit from the Everable team, an organization boldly reshaping how the world sees disability through storytelling. Everable’s mission is to preserve the voices, memories, and lived experiences of people with disabilities, using storytelling as a tool for dignity, inclusion, and global impact. Their approach deeply aligns with our own at Tai, where storytelling drives social and behavioral change.
Leading the visit was Michael Joseph McDonald, an award-winning filmmaker, storyteller, and nonprofit leader whose work has been featured at the White House, United Nations, and Smithsonian’s Hirshhorn Museum. His animation Freebird (2021) won Best Animation of the Year from Animation Magazine, and his installations and inclusive films have reached millions including a live audience of over 3 million at the invitation of Pope Francis.
Michael was joined by a passionate team: Jane O’Connor, Joshua Dokieeh, Ellen Rolfes, Naliston Njagi, and James Mwangi, from USA, Canada, and Kenya. Together, they spent the day immersing themselves in Tai’s work exploring how we use animation, digital media, and youth voices to spark social transformation.
A highlight of the visit was our interactive demo of the Apple Vision Pro VR a revolutionary tool in immersive storytelling. Experiencing this technology together sparked powerful conversations about accessibility, empathy, and the future of storytelling. The exchange was rich with shared values and visionary ideas. It reminded us that when creativity meets purpose, stories can transcend borders and truly shift perspectives.
Hosting the Everable team was a privilege. Their visit left us energized and affirmed in our mission: to continue amplifying underrepresented voices and championing inclusion through media. As we look ahead, we are hopeful for future collaborations that blend technology, heart, and impact.
